Congratulations Optimist International requires every single Club to file a Club Pride Report (one page document) before October 10, 2018 in order to qualify as an Honor Club or a Distinguished Club for the Optimist Strong year! We want your Club to be eligible for all of the awards and As your Governor Designate for the Great Ohio District of Optimist International, I am excited about embarking on the Centennial Year.Our OI President Designate Rebecca Butler Mona has been busy planning the 2018-19 goals, guidelines, incentives and more for the “Optimist 100 – Promise Yourself” year. Tom Kendo Team, I would add to this that you consider how to utilize the special Centennial Awards that President Nick and I jointly announced at the Optimist International Convention in Ottawa as applicable for this year in the final quarter, as well as all of our 2018-19 year.

Last year, OCFW awarded 5 scholarships up to $1,000 each to qualifying students attending TCC in their first year.

The Tarrant County College Foundation matched these scholarships to students attending TCC in their second year.

Club winners advance to the district to compete for a $2,500 college scholarship.

At the local level, awards are given for: First Place $1500, Second Place $1000, and Third Place $500.

Have maintained an unblemished record for sportsmanship on the athletic field and in contact with coaches, game officials and opposing players and teammates; and 3.

Have engaged in athletics for at least two of the last three years.Typically, applications are available in March and winners announced in June of each school year.Click here to download the TCC Scholarship Details Click hear to download the TCC Scholarship Application The Essay Contest is sponsored by Optimist International and the Optimist Club of Fort Worth to give young people the opportunity to write about their own opinions regarding the world in which they live.This scholarship is the cornerstone of the OCFW’s scholarship programs. One eligible candidate is chosen from each of the Ft Worth ISD high schools, and since 2014 OCFW has been able to fund a scholarship for each chosen candidate.In 2017, SSA scholarships totaling ,750 were awarded.The Ohio Optimists are, once again, offering a fantastic scholarship opportunity to students who are deaf or hearing impaired and a chance to improve their oratorical skills at the same time with their C.
